Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to stay at Manchester United
this summer despite rumours that he wanted to return to Juventus. The Portugal
international will report back for pre-season training at the beginning of July.
Earlier, the Portuguese sports daily Record claimed that Ronaldo
wanted to leave the Red Devils due to club’s lack of activity in the transfer window.
The report claimed that Ronaldo fears new manager Erik ten Hag does is not
buying right players to compete for titles.
Some reports also stated that Ronaldo is keen to return to
Juventus for another stint but it now seems wide of the mark.
A report in Spanish daily AS claimed that Bayern Munich are
interested in signing Ronaldo if Robert Lewandowski joins Barcelona, but it
also turned out to be false as Bayern are still trying to persuade Lewandowski
to stay at the club and complete his contract.
Ronaldo is currently holidaying with family on a Spanish
Island and is set to return to pre-season training in July.
